B483L (ft. Biała Ćma, Mała Fuzja & Zero Point Fool)

about

"B438L" (Babel) was inspired by "The Library of Babel" (Spanish: La biblioteca de Babel), a short story by Argentine author and librarian Jorge Luis Borges and, obviously, the biblical story of The Tower of Babel (Hebrew: מִגְדַּל בָּבֶל‎, Mīgdal Bāḇel;), narrative in Genesis 11:1–9. It explores the themes of knowledge and language. The Library of Babel is told to contain the knowledge of the universe as well as tons of random combinations of letter just like the Internet.

For this, I needed a few languages. As I speak only Polish, English and German, I invited Zero Point Fool, whom I had met thanks to Nine Inch Nails Discord channel and our compilation project "Discordance I". He's from Mexico and his verses are in Spanish. Also, my Polish friends from Biała Ćma, Kajetan and Sebastian (Mała Fuzja) helped in the instrumental adding bağlama (Eastern plucked string instrument) and the guitar while I added something for their upcoming album.

lyrics

Hexagonal rooms that are adjacent
With four walls of full bookshelves
Filled with books for those obeisant
Not afraid of losing themselves

Nonsensical! Plus so bland
I cannot digest this brew of letters!

Tantalised, I try to find
The word deep in the æther
It's entangling my mind
To not know is much better

There's no return to the state of not knowing
Who could be the person behind all this bilge
When you realise the scale it's mind blowing
Who could be its architect who set to build

I think the language is a multi-tool
To a nation of fools it was hurled
And a word is merely a molecule
In a varied, mad and volatile world

This mass of people I cannot stand!
Why, against me alone, are they together?

Tantalised, I try to find
The word deep in the æther
It's entangling my mind
To not know is much better

There's no return to the state of not knowing
Who could be the person behind all this bilge
When you realise the scale it's mind blowing
Who could be its architect who set to build

»Auf! Lasst uns hinabsteigen

Y si el carmesí cubre to portada
Como envuelve s todo aquel
Que busca remediar con tu santidad
El peso de nacer

El secreto es que no es ningún secreto
Que el destino es el camino
Entre más aprendo menos lo entiendo

Tak nie może być
Trwam desygnatem
Wiedzieć nie chcę nic
I mieć cokolwiek wspólnego z tym światem

There's no return to the state of not knowing
Who could be the person behind all this bilge
When you realise the scale it's mind blowing
Who could be its architect who set to build

There's no return to the state of not knowing
Who could be the person behind all this bilge
When you realise the scale it's mind blowing
Who could be its architect who set to build
