This is a post-apocalyptic narrative about a party resupplying in a settlement before a final battle. This kind of setting is close to me (I write for a Polish site about Fallout and postapocalypse, Trzynasty Schron) and I already had recorded a whole album about that ("13", 2012) but Madrawi convinced me to record a new song with lyrics.
lyrics
A major trading settlement
They've got every kind of supply
Here we're all decadents
Who want to party before we die
Old morality is obsolete
We've got no time to woe
Time to eke the ammo
We've got enemies to beat
Wait here, we need to choose,
Since everyone is greedy,
Between water and booze
Take the latter and we're ready
Should have done something earlier
When we still had some time
Now I'm this world's burier
No such luxe for me, why
Should have done something earlier
When we still had some time
Now I'm this world's burier
No such luxe for me, why
This reminds me of the past
Years before the latest war
Some time ahead of the blast
All living I don't know what for
With covetousness deranged
Wasting water and resources
Humanity hasn't changed
Always some opposing forces
So we drink to forget
We haven't found the sense as yet
They die, we die
That's the end of bloody story
Should have done something earlier
When we still had some time
Now I'm this world's burier
No such luxe for me, why
Should have done something earlier
When we still had some time
Now I'm this world's burier
No such luxe for me, why
Should have done something earlier
When we still had some time
Now I'm this world's burier
No such luxe for me!
Should have done something earlier
When we still had some time
Now I'm this world's burier
No such luxe for me!
Should have done something earlier
When we still had some time
Now I'm this world's burier
No such luxe for me!
Should have done something earlier
When we still had some time
Now I'm this world's burier
No such luxe for me!
They die, we die
End of story
They die, we die
End of story
They die, we die
End of story
They die, we die
End of story
